Can anyone tell me what this plant is?

It has appeared in my raised bed among the veg and herbs, and I don't know whether it is a weed or something I should think about replanting somewhere else in the garden. Any help appreciated!

Looks to me as if it could be black nightshade? Have a Google and see if any of the images that come up look similar to your plant? If in any doubt, I'd remove and destroy.

Thank you. The thought of nightshade had occurred but then I thought the flower was much bigger than nightshade. I hadn't seen the sort of nightshade you mention. I think you are right. Going to dig it out right away. Thanks again.

When I went to dig it out the flower had opened and the centre didn't have a nightshade style pointy bit, so not so sure now, but better safe than sorry.
