Does anyone know what to do with wisteria seeds?

My dad gave me a pod of seeds from his wisteria at the weekend. Please can somebody tell me when, where and how to plant them? I've looked it up in my gardening book but didn't really understand it, I'm pretty much a gardening novice so any simple advice would be gratefully received!

It takes so long for Wisteria to flower when grown from seed - 15 - 20 years it would be better to grow from a cutting.

Ah, that makes sense as my gardening book said nothing about seeds, it was all about cuttings. Thanks!
