We have a huge Lyme tree in out garden, is right at the end. We would like to grow some low lying flowering plants under it.

Any idea what would grow as it is pretty shady under there. I'd like it to look like a natural woodland if possible.

Sweet woodruff (galium odoratum) likes shade. Pretty little white flowers. You could put in some cyclamen for autumn. Bluebells for spring. Periwinkle (vinca) can give good ground cover with purple flowers, but it can get invasive.

Epimedium do well in dry shade, they give a very natural woodland look.
