Hi,
I have a climbing rose which was potted in the same container as a bamboo - I have now found out this was a bad idea! So, today I have repotted the rose own it's own in a tallish, trombone terracotta pot. The bamboo is now on it's own.
I have a clematis that is not thriving at the base of a massive leylandii (obvious!), so I want to train it up the same trellis as the rose. I have read roses and clematis go well together.
Do I plant the clematis in the trombone pot with the rose? Not sure there is enough room for two sets of roots. Could I plant the clematis in with the bamboo (next to the rose pot), so then I could train it up the trellis? Which one is the best thing to do - I have pretty much no gardening knowledge! Thanks for your advice!
