Growing under glass - is growing in a conservatory the same as a greenhouse?

Sorry if it seems a daft question...

I don't have any space to build a greenhouse in the garden, but I have a nice conservatory.

All the books based on growing under glass are aimed at greenhouses, cloches or sometimes cold frames, but no mention of a conservatory.

Advice needed, many thanks:)

It should work just fine. Your biggest problems would be humidity and ventilation; to keep a greenhouse sufficiently humid for seedlings you just damp down the floor (chuck buckets of water down). You couldn't really do that in a conservatory. And many greenhouses have automatic vents that open by themselves when the temperature reaches a certain level, to stop them overheating. You'd need to be quite on the ball opening windows.

Thanks for replying rhubarb

I've been looking at mini pop up greenhouses since on Ebay, I think they might be the answer :)
