I have cleared a bed approximately 6m x 3m. Is now a suitable time to plant shrubs, climbers & perennials or should I wait until the spring?

I'd like to know too. Probably depends how far north you are.

I'm in East Anglia, so fairly mild at the moment and not too wet.

Autumn is a much better time to plant than spring. They have months to establish themselves and develop their root systems before the weather gets hot and dry again.

A vv good time to plant I think.
