Best flowers for pots and baskets as late as possible in the year?

My house is on the market so I am trying to keep my garden looking nice. All my summer baskets and pots are starting to look a bit tired, I have alot of geraniums and some other typical summer flowers which I cant think of the names. So I am looking to replace some soon, are there any flowers that will give some colour now and into the autumn please?

I really am useless when it comes to gardening! Grin

Winter pansies & violas? I bought some violas from homebase this time last year which lasted all through the winter and came up beautifully in the spring.

Thank you, I thought it would be too early for them but will look out for them. Smile

cyclamen? think that is what they are called

Yes, cyclamen are lovely. Not as hardy as pansies, very pretty and work indoors too. So you can bring them in to brighten the house for later viewings.

Wallflowers. Mine lasted into late Jan, even surviving the first lot of snow we had
