Hi all,

Pigeons have laid an egg under my clematis. I heard them shagging a few weeks ago and chased them away, but it seems they grew comfortable there while we've been on holiday.
A google search has thrown up similar discussions where people were advised to throw the egg away - but I feel too guilty! Anyone had a similar experience and have any advice?
It's nest is just at the root of our clematis which is already weary looking...

It is actually illegal to interfere with any wild bird egg, I would suggest you put up with this act of nature and wait until the chick has left the nest, then destroy the nest.
Keep an eye out for the rebuilding and destroy any future nests, sooner or later the birds will realise it's not such a good place to build.

im a bit confused as to why you would want to throw the eggs away?
