What flower seeds can I plant now to quickly cover a new bed?

I have just had a raised bed rebuilt, it's very long (15m) and I can't afford to go out and buy annuals to cover it and I just want to sew some seeds that will look pretty until the autumn when I can think about some kind of perennial scheme for it. I have put in a few salvia that I have left over from another bed, but want to fill the spaces between. Any thoughts? I wondered about candy tuft, but I'm not crazy about it. Would quite like something white.

DS sprinkled some cornflower seeds in a big tub about two weeks ago and they are going mad, no flowers yet but lots of green

That's a great idea, thanks - love cornflowers!

Borage? (Evil grin)

Try a meadow mix or something for bees ans butterflies, simple flowers. Be caution of anything too weed like as you'll be digging it out for ever.

I came across half a pack of cosmos seeds the other day which were left over from last year & so scattered them around and they're growing well.
