What to plant at this time of year?

We've recently moved so only just getting onto the garden. Would love to plant veggies with my DS but don't know what best to plant at this time of year.

I've got two raised beds (100cm x 60cm from memory) which are in full sun from about 10-3/4 (will be more but need to remove huge tree at some point - not this year though). I have also bought a PVC mini greenhouse which I will put in full sun, thinking for things like tomatoes, peppers, courgettes.

I know I am too late to start off my own plants this year but am going to the garden centre this afternoon to buy some. Any advice on what to buy much appreciated.

You could sow - salad, carrots, winter cabbage, and pumpkin and squash seeds. Everything is quite late this year so it is worth trying tomato, courgette, green bean plants brought from the garden centre. Don't forget some perennial herbs

Thank you. I've gone for carrots, salad leaves, radishes as seeds and bought tomato, pepper and courgette plants. I am quite excited but will be much better organised next year.
