Hello,

Just had a quote from my handyman and it seems a lot to me, if you've done something similar it would be great if you could give me an idea of what you've paid.

Ok, footings and concrete base, small retaining wall around it, and around the edge of the concrete York stone slabs to match our patio - £2500 (14ft x 10ft)
As above 7ft square York stone patio next to shed £1200
Supply electrics to shed 30m cable. £250

He said he'd erect the shed for this price too.

Is this a good or bad deal?

Im in Buckinghamshire

We're in Hampshire and were quoted over £1000 for a very small patio, so might be the going rate.

Hopefully someone else will have a better idea than me though!

Sound too much to me. Will they supply the materials? If so, it is probably ok-ish. You could check the prices of material needed, and also how long it will take, how many workers? I think £70 per person per day is a good wage. If in doubt do get second quote, or even more.
