DH and I spent all day setting out our front garden yesterday. It was great, but I now have a rash all over my ankles. And I've no clue what caused it.

I was in contact with compost, manure, put down bark chippings, planted phlox, a Rose, Jasmine and senetti. none of which I thought were irritants!

Any thoughts on what might have caused it?

I think I may need to wear long socks under my sandals next time I garden Grin

Might be insect bites. I'm always being bitten. Maybe fleas if you have hedgehogs at night. That's about their biting height.

Hedgehog fleas don't bite humans.

Well it certainly wasn't hedgehog fleas, we don't have any hedgehogs. sadly.

itching has now subsided, it was certainly a rash rather than bites. Sad

Did you walk through any of the sticky <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9b/Galium_aparine_b.jpg/220px-Galium_aparine_b.jpg&imgrefurl=en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galium_aparine&h=291&w=173&sz=1&tbnid=4DoC5JhQbFMX3M:&tbnh=160&tbnw=95&zoom=1&usg=__Hzj17nWpL_w_gBDEbc1ibJSp_hc=&docid=eD-c29kYSoN2fM&itg=1&hl=en&sa=X&ei=uDSoUe6FFoWe0QWvkYHQAg&ved=0CDIQ_B0wAA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">goose grass ? That can definitely give a rash.
