Weed killers for pregnant gardener

I'm 6 months pregnant and have just got back from holiday to a jungle of weeds taking over my garden.

I can't pull them up myself at the moment and my husband works 6 days a week through the daylight hours... I'd feel bad sending him out there at 4am in the dark before work to do it.

Does anyone know of any weed chemicals or other solutions that will do the job and are safe for a pregnant person?

I used glyphosate wearing a pair of gloves when I was pregnant. I also weeded on my hands and knees right up to 8 months - I found it a really comfy position to be in actually, and good for getting the baby to lie the right way and avoid a back to back labour - try it!

I think no weedkiller should be handled if pregnant but I am mega cautious

Thanks, I've got SPD so if I get on my hands and knees right now I fear I may never get up!

Genuine question - if you are unable to get on your hands and knees, how will you get the weed-killer on the weeds and not on the surrounding plants?

Yes, please, please be careful when using glyphosate whilst you are pregnant - there is all sorts of nasty 'inert' byproducts mixed in with the herbicide, many of which are proven to cause various health problems. I'm excited for weedingtech (foamstream)to bring out their garden sized product. My council use the big amenities one and it's so nice to know there are no herbicide toxins floating around the park!!
