Will my flower saplings survive if I don't feed them?

Is it really necessary, or is watering enough? I planted them about three weeks ago in pots in the garden. You might have noticed that I'm a bit of a novice! Hmm

Did you plant them in compost or soil? I believe compost should be all they need for a while. Once they've used up the nutrients, you could feed or mulch, but that could be 6 months yet.

I'm not an expert though ... Someone cleverer may disagree with me!

What sort of flowers are they?

I used a mixture of fresh pot compost and some left from last year. The flowers were a mixture, including chrysanthemums...

Not essential to feed them but you'll get stronger plants with more flowers on them if you feed them.
