Is it too late to sow wallflower seeds?

Just that really. Everything I've read says to sow seeds between May and July, either in pots or in their final position, but how strict is that (garden novice alert!)?

We moved into a new house in January and the previous owner had won awards for his garden! I've tried to get to grips with it since we moved in but didn't realise how far in advance you need to plan for next spring! Am slowly getting addicted to gardening though! Smile

Any help would be much appreciated.

As we're barely into August, and the weather's more like June, I think it's worth a go! Monty was sowing wallflowers on Gardeners' World a week or so ago.

If you have more questions, cone and join us on the gardening club thread. We're very friendly and we have virtual gin in the virtual potting shed.

Thank you so much! I think I'll have a go and see what happens. If it's good enough for Monty...

I love a bit of mothers ruin so will def come and find you all in the gardening club thread. I thought it was for 'proper' gardeners only. Smile
