Deterring neighbourhood dogs from weeing on my plants

This is my first post here, so hello all!

We live in an area that lots of people like to walk in, lots of them with their dogs. The dogs are weeing on my flower bed in the front and killing everything. I had a couple of shrubs that I had to remove because they started dying at leg-hiking height. When I cut them down they absolutely reeked of wee!

Is there anything I can do to stop them? If I see anybody doing it, I will ask them to stop, but I'm obviously not out there all day so can't stop them all. Very frustrating!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

PS I am a dog lover, I have 2 of my own but I really, really get annoyed when people let them wee on my plants and car tyres!

here

some pongy dog deterrants. Anything there you could try? Seems aimed more at keeping dogs out of flower beds rather than preventing them weeing into them. Still might be worth trying something like that

Apparently keeping shrubs well-watered helps and maybe planting prickly plants might be an idea?

Thank you ladies! Going to give the pongy deterrants a go first and if that doesn't work some prickly plants.

Would a raised bed/low picket fence be possible?
