Just that I kind of put gardening on hold last year as DD was born in may so I was hugely pregnant during spring then feeding and sleeping.

I now have an 11m old and another on the way and am wondering if you have any tips as to how I can do a bit of gardening at least this year

All in one waterproof suit, wellies, small tools, aim low and don't worry about a dirty child!

I have the same problem with a 12mo. I don't mind her getting wet. But she likes to follow me around and put everything in her mouth Sad.

Get some pots & toys & let her stack, sort, fill & empty to her heart's content. I let my DD fill pots with compost but she doesn't try eating it nowadays Wink

A sand pit works with mine, that and a baby slide.

Their own tiny wheelbarrow. My DS came to work with me (I'm a gardener) from the time he could walk and his wheelbarrow was his pride and joy. It was from the ELC (many moons ago).

Btw can I just say a word about tools for kids - I think yours are all quite young yet but when they get older there is a big choice of kids garden tools out there.

They are normally not very strong and will bend as soon as DCs try to use them.
It's really worth getting quality kid's tools which are meant for the job, as then they can really dig with them and won't be getting all frustrated and trying to borrow yours.
