can i put seeds of broccoli ditect into soil in the garden? many websites say to do it in pots first, but i'm running out of space on my kitchen table...

yes I grew it from seed.

When I've grown broccoli I've always sown direct outside. You will probably have to move them though as they like to be planted on a bit deeper than they first come up. This helps stabilise them. I tend to sow closer together than final spacing and just move them around a bit and space them out when they're big enough to need it.
