I left lots and lots of spuds undue last year . . . .will they be edible or will. Have to throw them all ?

We have an allotment and with one thing and another I've not been up since Xmas so am dreading wha I'm going to find ! Anyway we had masses of spuds. was just wonderim if were going to have to dig up and chuck the lot ? any one else done similar ?

And if you leave them they will start growing again (mournfully contemplates the number of potato plants that will inevitably come up through the lawn where the old vegetable bed used to be).
