Anyone have one of those window bird feeders?

I got one yesterday, the type that has suckers to attach to the window) and have put it on the patio doors - no bird has so much as glanced at it yet. Are they going to be too scared to come that close to the house?

Sorry not exactly gardening but sort of close Grin

My parents had one for several months and as far as they were aware, no bird ever came near it. They then put it on the garage facia boards and the birds have all moved in.

Thanks! I don't really have anything else near the house I can attach it to. Have moved it to the top corner of the window away from movement inside the house... will see if that works.

We have one on our kitchen window by the back door and a robin visits regularly, even with the cat watching. Give it time.

They didn't come to mine for ages so I lured them in by hanging fat balls nearby, then they seemed to find it ok.

We had one up for a year to no avail
Sad

We have one and it gets robins, bluetits and the odd sparrow. It's on a patio door quite close to a tree they all love, though, so maybe they feel fairly safe coming to it. The robins are there every morning :)
