Can I plant any bulbs at this time of year

I would love to plant some bulbs, particularly tulips. Does anyone know if it is too late to do this?

Are there any other bulbs that I could plant- I really like the 'spring' type flowers but anything that I can do to increase the flower content of my garden would be brilliant.

I have tried googling, but the sheer amount of information (some of which is conflicting) is really confusing.....

this was on gardeners question time this week...apparently if the bulbs are firm or even sprouting it's fine to plant them now.

Ooh thank you for letting me know. I will listen to gardeners question time later in iplayer.

I'm so happy that I can still give it a go!!

Yesterday I planted a bag of daffodils & a bag of tulips & as long as they are firm & starting to sprout a shoot then they should still come up.

I hope that helps :)
