White mould on newly laid turf

We've recently (beginning of October) re-levelled our back garden back to bare soil and re-laid it with some lovely new turf. We watered it and it appears to have rooted in but over the last couple of weeks I've noticed patches of white mould spring up and the turf appears to be rotting in patches. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, what can I do to bring it back to health? Interestingly the doctors surgery round the corner from us has recently laid a bit of turf (a very small patch) and it looks like they've got some of this white mould too.

you are going to have to leave it now winter is coming. It is warm and wet and the moment, but it will soon get too cold for mould to grow. By spring, either the grass will be strong enough to take over, or you will have a dead patch. If it was me I would put a bit of grass seed down if you have a dead patch, rather than trying to take up a patch of turf. The grass will spread sideways if it is healthy and fill in the patch, in time.

you can water it with dilute fungicide if it will make you feel better, but it won't really make any difference. Most visible funghi live on dead material, and if the grass is dead it's too late.
