i thought it was meant to happen in autumn. we are in london and still warm, what is going on?

Could it be too dry? That can cause leaves to drop early.

By which I don't mean that it's dead. Some trees, for example, drop their leaves early in a drought to conserve energy.

We have had so much rain though. I have no idea.
