Can anyone advise me on what to plant to make a BIG climbing flower display in a planter?

Please? I saw online some large planters with obelisks in them and Black Eyed Susan's growing...they made a sort of lush big tower of flowers!

Am I too late for Black Eyed Susan's? Do I need to grow them from seed indoors?

Are there any flowring climbers which could do the same thing please?

(not Nasturtiums!)

What about a clematis?

Do they grow prolifically though? I seem to remember Mum's looking kind of stringy..not lush enough to cover an obelisk totally...

Yes, they can do if they have plenty of sun. You can get clematis specifically for containers too. I agree that black eyes susans would look fab too, you should be able to buy some seedlings/young plants in a good garden centre....

Ooh that sounds good then..they're very lovely flowers. I will look for seedlings asap! Maybe I'll get some online!
