My plums have worms - I am sad & slightly creeped out

I have pounds & pounds of plums despite losing a similar number to the high winds

About half have worms when I cut them open

I am sad at the 'waste' even though my friend pigs will eat them

This happened to us one year, it was sawfly

we were told that all the ones which ripened early were the ones with sawfly, the ones that ripened later were OK, and this did turn out to be true

also we didn't do anything about it (too disorganised) and the following year there was no infestation

horrible though isn't it Sad

Same thing happened to us this year, and a couple of years ago. I always thought it was wasp lava < ignorant >, but sawfly sounds feasible.
Always happens when we're on holiday.

They are inside the plum by the stone & have lots of black bits round them Sad
