Planted out a seedling in June which has now reached about 12ft down the garden! No pumpkins yet, though there are two flowers which look like they could take. They are on a patio so should I be thinking about things to put under them?
I've trimmed off all the side shoots and have been pollinating with a paint brush which was my Dad's suggestion. Is it too late now for them to bear anything before Halloween?
Also why do pumpkin flowers smell like vomit? Boak.
