Depends how organically you like to treat your garden. You can spray them with an insecticide - any insecticide will do - or if you want to do it the organic way then you have to pick them off and squash them. If you don't want to use chemicals then encourage birds into your garden as well; many garden birds eat caterpillars.

If no leaves left probably no chance for recovery. Otherwise I'd pick off and drown. Our brasiccas get covered otherwise (grrrrrrr....)

You could pick them off and throw them into your neighbour's garden I guess ... depends if your neighbour grows plants that they like, because if they don't then they'll just crawl right back! If you don't kill them then they will be back next year as well.
