Hi, has anybody studied online with Arden University if so would you recommend studying through them? I’m looking to enrol in a psychology degree.

I can't help specifically so hoping this 'bump' may do!

The Google reviews for distance learning are a bit concerning.

What are you hoping to do after?

I think it's a bit of a diploma mill. All I know is there are little or no entrance requirements. The 'qualification' will not be valued by employers.

Im looking to study for a BA in Psychology, however because I already have student finance for a Masters, a BA and FD I need to enrol before January to bypass the new funding LLE funding rules. Unfortunately Arden university seem to be the only university offering a November start date.

What are you hoping to achieve? Or are you planning to be a permanent student?

😂 not at all, I need to change my direction of study slightly to allow me to progress in my chosen professional field.

Which is….? This is obviously a very last minute decision given you’ve missed starting this Autumn by a matter of weeks. If you only need a change direction slightly, why go for a four-six year undergrad?

I started an MA in psychology but the course was really boring. The first module was research methods, which I accepted was a necessary component, but the second module was also mostly about research methods. Then I unexpectedly got pregnant and after baby was born I didn't carry on but I didn't feel I'd learned anything about psychology except how psychology is researched.

Check whether you need your degree to have accreditation with British Psychological Society, otherwise the degree can be worthless for career progression

Last I checked, Arden's psychology courses were BPS accredited.
