@VentressGlad to hear that, a change from miserable yesterday! What a way to end Alevel exams too, go celebrate!!!
@AuntyBulgaria DD seemed annoyed but also went on with the fact that it was the same for everyone. Your DS then have to go and do another one today? No wonder he didn’t do any revision.
We have FM tmrw. We have Edexcel for every thing and so far it was not bad, but then 2 Maths papers and 2Phy, one FM left.

DD reasonably happy with Edexcel Econ 3 but I am a bit worried that she may have gone in too strong on tariff policy on a question about Italy (which is in the EU so can’t have its own tariff policy). Can anyone’s DC remember the wording of the 25-mark essay question on protectionism?

I have to confess I was reading some of the comments and smiling at the hyperbole and the way in which things were being expressed (though it IS really heartbreaking) but yes, some of the commenters don't seem to understand that the comments section of a Change.org petition aren't a social media platform and not intended for back-and-forth debate! 🙄

Waiting somewhat nervously for DS to let me know how Biology went...

My DS said it was the worst paper he has ever done. He then said “are you disappointed?” In a rude ish manner . So idk what to make of that . Waiting for others . I don’t think he tried so hard study wise with bio (for whatever reason) his predicted were always middling then right at the end the teachers said A so that doesn’t makes sense to me either

Edexcel biology far better than their maths. DC reckons grade boundary could be high as they found it easier than expected.

What is he planning to do after A levels @4andnotcounting? The exam was probably not as bad as he first thought.

DS another one happy with how Edexel econ 3 went (even though once again his favourite topic didn’t come - apparently, for the first time in years!). Just one last exam to go on Monday (geo 3)!

I’m so pleased that Edexcel economics went well for your son @ComingInByAnsibleeven without his favourite topic coming up. Good that they will be over by end of Monday! Just the GCSEs to deal with now 😊

Dd did not enjoy edexcel economics today, says she ran out of time and is super frustrated because she knew more. She’s dyslexic and reads slowly, she has extra time, but even with that the reading took too much time. She needs a B for university, but economics is her strongest subject and she’d love an A. Done now, onto psychology tomorrow.

I have found the answer. DC not doing enough revision suggest they tidy their room and change their sheets. And all of a sudden it's "this is a difficult exam tomorrow I need to revise".

Only one exam next week, then two the week after so a lot of down time to go completely off the boil.

First biology paper went OK- they're not expecting top marks in Biology, haven't really enjoyed A level but I still think it was worth it as it gave them an interesting set of A-levels

I forgot to add exam board edexcel B . If that makes a difference.

He wanted to do dentistry but didn’t get an offer despite FOUR interviews! I think it was a case of not enough interview practice.

He just now wants to get the best grades and will see which courses come in clearing. He knows dentistry won’t be there.

DD hated AQA biology. She’s been getting high As in her practice papers but she found this very hard- full of maths
and application and very odd wording.

Can I ask a silly question. So what raw scores was she getting in her practice papers?
