Trying to find private tuition for my son who will be sitting for further maths. There are quite a few sites and lists on the web.
Can someone recommend the best way how to go about it or recommend reliable tutors etc.
thanks in advance for your help

Respectfully, if your child needs tuition if they're already at sixth form college, further maths surely isn't for them? It's an incredibly tough A level only for top mathematicians.

I concur with @MrsJamin further maths is not for the feint hearted! If your child needs a tutor to support them it’s probably not the best a-level choice for them.

I found a tutor on the teachers to your home website.

For those saying you shouldn't do FM if you need a tutor - how do you know the OP isn't trying to shift their child from a B to an A, or an A to an A*?

My son had a tutor from time to time when he found some concepts tough to grasp in the beginning. He did maths and FM and was very close to A star for FM but ended up with an A. He got A star for maths. We found one online who was a 3rd year uni student. I’m sorry I don’t remember the site, we just googled. It was quite punchy at 50 quid an hour. I guess he had maybe 10-15 sessions over the 2 years of A level. He’s at uni studying Maths!

Sometimes a tutor is great for just explaining things in a different way, so the penny drops.
