My dc needs to sit the esat for their chosen undergraduate course. Is there any consideration given to the fact they don’t study maths a level. They are doing bio and chemistry and got grade 8 maths gcse.

Has your DD looked at the Maths spec to see if they think they can cope with it? The papers are designed to determine if candidates will have the aptitude to study STEM degrees, so they need to be competent mathematicians.

they were competent enough at maths but haven’t studied it in over a year. Are predicted A A for bio and chemistry so have some knowledge from that

Have they tried the sample papers?

Look through the specification and try sample papers. Contact the admissions team and ask if allowance is made.

Hi @flightissue. My DD is in the same position. Can I ask how your DC managed? Did they have to study some maths in addition to their levels, and did the school support or do you find a tutor?
