Hello, daughter wants to do Medicine- A* student in all appropriate subjects. Wants to go to London university- we are from a deprived area and working class so don’t know anything about the UCATS. What score should she be aiming for to get in? She is stressed and due to take it on Monday.

She has a job but we could not get any work experience in a medical setting.

She just needs to aim for the best score she can. When you know what that is have a look on Studentroom or post back for advice. Medical work experience can be hard to get and isn't essential. Work with people is more important. Has she tried hospital or care home volunteering? Or something like helping at scouts? BSMS have online work experience which might be useful. https://www.bsms.ac.uk/about/news/2020/09-17-bsms-virtual-work-experience-programme-added-to-barclays-lifeskills.aspx

you don’t need medical work experience. Experience in care homes etc will do. What A level subjects does she do.

Post this in Higher education section. There is a thread about medicine 2026 entry now. Good luck to your daughter.

there is heaps of information online. I assume she has read up and been practising for the last few weeks?

as others have said, she just needs to aim for the highest possible score.
