Student accommodation

Hi all,

my ds has got a placement in Bourne end. He was informed it was a hybrid role but as yet has not been told how many days he can work from home. I think maybe they will discuss this once he starts work.

We have got him a studio flat in Maidenhead but ideally he would like to live in London and commute.

Do you know any student accommodations that he could rent in Central London ?

Thank you

congrats to your son! Does he know the area at all? In all honesty it does seem a bit bonkers re London. BE is only 3 stops from Maidenhead on the train (about 9 minutes?).
Totally get the London thing though. BE isn’t exactly hip and happening 🤣 Marlow (next train stop) is slightly better and has a very young adult crowd re pubs etc.

Reading might be more lively with a student vibe. He could look on spareroom or openrent to find vacant rooms. Does he still count as a student for council tax?
