Hi! I'm going back to college next week after being out of education for a few years and need a new laptop. It will be used for assignment writing. I plan on then starting university next year so a laptop which would last me the 4 years would be amazing!- probably wishful thinking haha!
Has anyone got any good suggestions?
TIA

hello

one option is pop into a currys they are pretty good at recommendations, you don’t have to buy it just get the advice! I do tend to buy from them, have had decent advice and don’t feel I’ve been oversold - something more fancy and costly than we need.

you can do online, via video call on their website, they can’t see you and they’ll get you one of their tech people! They have a feature where you answer a few questions and it puts forward recommendations if don’t want to talk to them!

just tell them what you’ve said above I.e. main uses, think about your budget and see what they come up with.

just to say I don’t work for curry’s 😂😂😂

👍

Just a thought, as you are going to be a student see if you can get a student discount. Once you get you ID and college email address you can apply for a Totum card or equivalent. Might save you a few £££
