Enrolment form

Hi All,

My daughter just got her GCSE results. Unfortunately, she is not getting her subject choices in her preferred college. She applied to another sixth form and they sent her the enrolment form. They have been silent since then, please advise if enrolment form confirms admission or she needs to still scout for other schools. We do not want her to have duplicate admissions at various schools since we are new to the process.

She needs to fill in the form before they will confirm a place. Some offer in person enrolments and advice if she prefers it,

Yes we have filled the application form, they then sent her the enrolment form. We attached her pics and others details in the enrolment form. No response from the school since then.

Is it a school sixth form or an FE sixth form college?

I'd be tempted to rock up - if there's staff there they will be able to help. We are over subscribed this year by about 30% so have wait listed any applications that weren't submitted back in January.

If she's filled in the enrolment form (which was different to the application form) it sounds like she's in.

GCSE results were only on Thursday and we've just had a bank holiday weekend, so they haven't had very long to respond in actual working time. And they will be working on enrolling the whole cohort following GCSE - not just your DC.

Not necessarily - we have an enrolment form but until we have sent a firm offer the enrolment form is just to collect personal information and grades.

Every year we have students turn up (in uniform) for sixth form because they think they have enrolled when they have just applied.

What would you collect on the application form then? If OP's DD just had to fill in both forms regardless, it surely would have been more normal to give her them both at once.
