Hi I thought a support thread would be nice for parents with kids entering year 12 in September.

Good idea!

I have two entering year 12 in September. DD is planning on art school after A-levels and will take Art and Design, Biology, and French.

DR (I am a kinship carer for a young relative) is hoping for History or Theology at uni and is planning to take History, English Lit, RE and Latin, though she may drop the English Lit after one year if the workload is too much.

I'm a little concerned that it will be their first time apart since starting secondary; they're very close and used to leaning on each other a bit for support. DD will attend the sixth form at their secondary school but DR had to find a college offering the Latin and RE so they'll be in different places. But it would happen in a couple of years at the uni level anyway, so maybe it's best to do it now qhiel they can still see each other at home.

Hello. I've got ds2 who is hoping to do maths, physics and music production. He only got 5-4 in combined science though so not sure if he will be allowed to do physics.
