Retakes and UCAS

DS received BCD for A Levels last summer and has decided to retake to hopefully improve his grades. His college are reissuing and updating the teachers' reference. What happens about predicted grades? His predicted grades last year were AAB. Apart from in his personal statement, there doesn't seem to be anywhere else that he can mention that he is doing retakes. He is worried that if he puts down his A level grades in the Education section, it will jeopardise his chances of getting offers from the unis which he is interested in.

Will the reference not include retakes and expected grades? Not all unis will consider them though so he needs to be clear for the course choices.

I think that you list the subjects on the form twice on the Education section. So he would put subject 1 taken 2023 and the result and so on for subjects 2 and 3.
Then he puts subject 1 to be taken 2024 and result pending and ditto for the other subjects.
You cannot miss off any results for subjects already taken, all results have to be declared.
