Can anyone explain to me the options available in the coming years for a student who wants to study btech style courses but needs ucas points to enter the military?
I’m so confused as 6th form offer btech courses of which you can do more than one but college offer btech at a high level but you can only do one.
I am so confused.

You can go for open evenings in different colleges and get better explaination and courses on offer. Many of them have open evenings during this month. Your DC's school can also provide information which will help.

There are different sized btecs.

a Btec Extended Certificate is equivalent to 1 A level
a Btec Diploma is equivalent to 2 A levels
a Btec Extended Diploma is equivalent to 3 A levels

@Panic71 some students do BTecs with A levels too. It’s ok to mix the two types of courses.

As Comfromaway says there are different levels of BTEC.

So we do at 6th form the Extended certificate, which they either take alongside other BTEC or A-level's.

I'm assuming the college you are referring to will be doing the Extended Diploma (I would check with them). The UCAS points they relate to are ovously different, but you'd have to look that up.
