Widening access only at clearing

Just reviewing Edinburgh and all courses seem to only be accessible to Scottish widening access only. Is this the norm? New to the clearing malarkey

My understanding in Scotland is that there are different quotas for English/Scottish students. I believe Scottish students have their results, or will have them very soon- but obviously A-level results aren't available until next week. I think it's normal for Scotish unis not to release places for rUK students until A-level results day.

The widening participation thing is less usual, but it probably relates to funding/places for Scottish students. If you're waiting for results for a student in rUK, it doesn't really mean anything (good or bad) for them.

Thanks. That makes sense.
