Cyber first Sheffield Aug 23

My DS is due to attend. Any other mn kids on here also due to? V unsure of what to expect, heads up or previous years into what can be expected much appreciated!

DC not doing Sheffield but another residential for CyberFirst Advanced. They are usually really well organised, interesting, sometimes challenging and gives them a qualification.

Is it the residential element or the whole thing you’re not sure about? And has your DS done the pre-advanced ones?

It’s the residential element, and what happens re eating and in the evenings. He’s never done one before. Thanks!

They’ve been online for the last few years, so only the Advanced courses have been in person. He’ll be in the same boat as all the others.

You should have got an email with the stuff about basic joining, food, transport arrangements etc. don’t worry, if he’s got any specific needs just email back the person who sent you the stuff about the arrangements and they will sort it.

When did you get the email about arrangements? And did it go to your dc or to you?

My child did it a few years ago.
It changed their life.

Everything was completely organised. Food was canteen style ( no charge) and there were activities organised for the evening.
Definitely was a major reason why they got an IT based apprenticeship.

Just over three weeks in advance and it came to both me and DC.
