Holidays in 2024

Is there generally a date by which A level exams have all finished, including any possible contingency dates? Looking to book an early deal for a much needed holiday next year. Thanks.

It would probably help if you say where you live (England, Scotland or Wales) as they may all be different. In Wales all A-Level exams just finished this week so you'd assume by the 21st June but your child might have finished way earlier than that depending on which subjects they picked. The exam timetable is released to all a good few months beforehand so could you wait until then & try to secure a good last minute deal? I'd fancy your chances as this isn't peak season.

The provisional contingency date for 2024 has been released, it's 26 June. So any date from 27th onwards should be fine. You can Google the provisional timetables.

@tennissquare That's great, thank you. I didn't know any dates were out yet. I've been looking from 1 July onwards, so that looks OK.

If attending the prom is likely to be important to your child, you might like to consider that too. In this area, it's usually the Friday or Saturday following the last exam
