How does EPQ moderation work?

DD has been given her raw EPQ mark. She understands that it is now subject to moderation and then the grade boundaries will be set and she'll be given a grade in August.

How does the moderation process work? Does every centre get moderated? Do the moderators look at all entries or a sample? By how much are marks likely to change? (Appreciate the answer to all those might be ..."it depends" ...).
Many thanks for any information!

At least 15 go off. We rarely get ours changed but it can happen. All ce tres are moderated.

My daughter wasn't given any mark at all. It's gone off to be moderated. She submitted it in November and will get her grade in August.

She should have been given a mark. That's been part of the process since at least 2018.

All centres are moderated. The size of the sample depends on the size of the cohort, and marks can change by a little or a lot.

Well she asked and that's what she was told - that it's gone off to be moderated and she'll get her grade in August.

Her school are required to release marks of internally assessed work to pupils so they’re breaking JCQ rules, in that case.

Centres have for many years been required to have a written internal appeals procedure relating to internal assessment decisions. As part of this procedure, candidates must be informed of the mark given by their centre for a centre assessed component/unit. This applies to GCE, GCSE and Project qualifications

Interesting @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross. She only has one exam left and is unlikely to seek out EPQ supervisor now. She seems ok to wait til August.
