Choosing uni for chemist

We (DS) is weighing up options for his degree. Offers for King’s and Warwick are the preferred.

He is googling reviews and going one way and another on an hourly basis!

Does anyone have any personal insights or experience of either?

Has he visited the unis? Talked to current students? Would he rather live in a big city or somewhere quieter?

Yes agree has he been to the unis? Surely that would be key - even a casual visit might help.

It's not as tho he is deciding between (say) Leeds and Sheffield (trying to pick two simialar-ish places there). Uni of warwick - a lovely campus a few miles from a smallish city (Coventry) and Kings - pretty central in London - are very different. I would imagine most people would have a preference as to which one they would rather spend three years in?

@KittenKong
If you are from abroad, London universities often are seen as highly desirable. Do look at living on a campus vs living in a city. London is vastly different to Coventry and Leamington spa where many Warwick undergrads live after first year. London will cost more but you have a wider range of activities and socialising options. Plus a major world city. So is he wanting all that London offers or a campus that’s more self contained?
