So I have been watching suits atm and currently at the point he has to go to the bar for a character test. Could someone tell me in the UK is this the same for new lawyers do they have to go ahead of a committee and if so can memeberw of the public state any worries or concerns?

At what stage is the student, or possible barrister, in terms of their career? You might need proof if you are making allegations.

He's about 2-3 years in to doing a apprenticeship in a local motor law specialists. Just think things like family abdandoment, affairs, his personal
Debt, drug and alcohol use, lack of morals should all be things be gets

That is nothing to do with being a barrister. It’s an apprenticeship in a law firm. It’s not a progressional solicitor or barrister. So I’m not sure his job/apprentIceship is subject to any checks. Or your views.

Sorry, that’s garbled. Someone with an unspecified apprenticeship in a “motor law specialist” isn’t necessarily on their way to being a solicitor. Might be a legal assistant or legal executive. The first post Telmex about going to the Bar. He’s definitely not doing that.
