Oxford brooks

My DCs had ax offer and information on their experience day. It looks interesting and they are making an effort.

Any thoughts on this uni?

It has a fairly high proportion of privately educated Dc. It was the former Oxford Poly. It’s in an amazing University city. It has a campus at Wheatley which is a bus ride away though. It’s obviously not high ranking but is a solid choice. It’s handy for London and is popular with London Dc. I think it’s a great uni!

It's excellent for a number of work related subjects, e.g. it is as far as I know the only uni offering Formula One engineering. It's also very highly regarded for surveying and estate management and other vocational courses. It's Headington Campus has a very social student union bar scene that is popular with Oxford University Students. In return, Oxford Brooks students can become members of the Oxford University Student Union (the debating society, which also has its own bar).

If offers Motorsport Engineering. F1 and Motorsport teams are nearby so can be useful for placements. For some students! Headington is more central than Wheatley.
