What do you mean?

NeverDropYourMooncup · 19/01/2023 17:47

Same way it does with under 18s. Securely and confidentially.

Isn’t it for safeguarding children under 18? Over 18 surely there must need to be very good reasons to record data other than attendance and progress.

Safeguarding doesn't cease to be a thing on their 18th birthday.

Ok but are there not benchmarks as to what can be held and is deemed safeguarding? Is there safeguarding data held on all of us in the work place? Colleges make it very clear they have no responsibility for quite a lot so not sure what the perimeters are and what could be deemed invasive as regards CPOMs and keeping data.

What are you actually worried about?

Schools have a duty of care to the pupils/students. Ofsted inspections of schools and sixth form college demand detailed data on students esp SEND/ECHP etc. Workplaces aren't inspected and don't have safeguarding policies that govern them etc.
