Accommodation cost at uni

Hiya DS wants to go to uni. Do most places need you to pay complete year's accommodation? Do some unis do term time only ? Where can be cheap for accommodation?

I love the bit about "ensure you clean your own"

En suite not ensure. If you have an en suite bathroom to your room no one clean is unless you do.

If it’s shared it gets a weekly clean.

@yoyo1234 oh I'm sorry! I thought you had misread (and the autocorrect sort of made sense for once 🤣)

Dd is in her first year at Bristol. Yes it's expensive but it is an amazing uni to be at.
She got catered which with Cody of living I think I'd probably a cheaper option overall!
Next year is £150pw plus bills for a flat right at the heart of the uni.

Cost!

Thank you for all your advice. Turns out DS looked into cost for accommodation at unis as well when applying. Seems Cambridge is cheaper so he's thinking there (understand totally that Imperial is great at STEM subjects ) worried about costs there though.
