DD gone back to bed. We really don’t know what happened as she thought bio and geo went well. She’s been getting a A’s on all her mocks. It’s a shock and I feel a bit sick

HELP PLEASE 🚨🙏 where can I find the UCAS points for Ctech Level 3

Google isn’t helping so we must be looking in the wrong place!

collywobble · 18/08/2022 09:01

DS got his insurance of Loughborough which bizarrely is a higher offer than his firm but was conditional on a A in History so he's got AAB so we can assume his history is the B. Heading into school now to get the actual results and let him decide if he wants to take up his insurance or go with plan B and get an apprenticeship instead. He's a bit torn at the moment but I think the grades have given his confidence a boost.

Isthisjustnormal · 18/08/2022 09:01

Yay @Zebracat : that made my eyes water a bit!

singingstones · 18/08/2022 09:02

Orange - is there a chance a re-mark would help? Maybe Southampton would keep her place. If not I can only reiterate that Cardiff is great but I know it's not what she wants, I'm sorry

singingstones · 18/08/2022 09:05

I felt like Maureen Lipman pointing it out to her.

😂😂

Isthisjustnormal · 18/08/2022 09:07

@Benjispruce4 : remind me what course you are looking at? I’m sure a few of us have clearing research we can share if it would be helpful…

ealingwestmum · 18/08/2022 09:07

Hang in there Benji

Happy DD here. 3 x A stars and an A in AS Maths. That last one, as ridiculous as this sounds is the best result ever, as she climbed her way up from a D.

GoldenRuby · 18/08/2022 09:09

Congratulations everyone, and for those who didn't get what they wanted I'm sure they will love wherever they end up.

Sorry for the radio silence lately - 3rd failed driving test, eventful girls holiday (over-indulged and ended up on a drip in hospital). But she has smashed it. 3 x A* stars, beating her UCAS predictions of A AA. She's confirmed her place at Durham to do Anthropology Sociology.

Comefromaway · 18/08/2022 09:11

Congrats to those who have made their offers.

hugs to those who haven’t. Hang on in there.

ZittiEBuoni · 18/08/2022 09:11

Good morning all, it's been a loooong time since I posted as I just became so sad and discouraged with dd's terrible anxiety and inability to access school.

We're not picking up results till 11!!!!! She wants to wait for the quietest possible time. And no UCAS application to look at, so the suspense here is real.

But I just want to say so many congratulations to everyone's dc, after coming through the awful Covid time and arriving at this day. Those who haven't got what they wanted - I'm so sorry and I wish you all the best for the future. Those who have got they wanted - yay!!! and Zebracat's dd - 😭😎

@Zebracat that’s wonderful, I’m so pleased, been really rooting for your girl. I’ve said it before but you’ve been so good for her

Piggywaspushed · 18/08/2022 09:13

Oh benji, don't know what to say. Hope it gets sorted out.

SirVixofVixHall · 18/08/2022 09:14

Dd got her place. Don’t know her grades yet, but have the congratulations message on UCAS.

Benjispruce4 · 18/08/2022 09:14

It was Sociology. But it was University of York she really had her heart set on and can’t give it up. We’ve just spoken to them and they were so blunt, there was no possible waiting list or chance to speak to anyone. She’s now talking to bf. Everything is up in the air now. Gutted. I expected a C for History but she was an A* student in Sociology and English all along. She is very disappointed in those two Bs.
Congratulations to all that were successful.

Piggywaspushed · 18/08/2022 09:14

Separate post, attempting tact - brilliant news for so many and echoing delight for zebra.

DS got A A A . In your face, Cambridge, calling him 'below the average'.

So so pleased for him. He has been a trooper.

Piggywaspushed · 18/08/2022 09:15

A star A star A

Volterra · 18/08/2022 09:15

Am on motorway off to get results so can't really read but can see it hasn't gone to plan for all. So sorry to read this. Thing now is to remember it is absolutely not game over . They will get somewhere , it's all to play for still. Really difficult but this will come good.

Yay clever piglet!!!

DS got into Nottingham his first choice, unbelievable. I screenshot the message on UCAS and sent to my sister in case we were reading it wrong 🙈

He's gone to school to get his grades, DH gone out for champagne, me having a little cry remembering all the shit he had to go through to get here.

Wow Proggy she really smashed it!
And Zebra, huge congratulations, so happy for you and DD.

Well done everyone and I hope those who are disappointed will find their way (they will) and feel deservedly optimistic for their futures.

Seeline · 18/08/2022 09:17

Results from school - 3A* !
Can't quite believe it 🤣

I've just firmly told her to get to college and find out what she got in all elements. Problem is the English Lit was a C too...her offer was BBB
