This is a thread for supporting all young people post GCSEs 2020, regardless of their educational setting. It is respectfully requested that all are supportive and helpful to each other. If you want to start a debate, e.g state vs private, please don't within this thread. Please also be sensitive when responding to threads about grades.

Some of us have been here since first thread back in yr10, some will be new. Everyone has been friendly and helpful in the past. Everyone is welcome. It is hoped this will continue.

Our DS/DD may go down various paths (such as employment, apprenticeships, higher ed) We have decided for anyone interested they will most likely find us within the Further Ed board.

@Zebracat Her offer is: AAA with As in Latin and Classical Greek. Her other A level is Ancient History.

I am strangely invested in other people's DCs' futures! I keep checking in to see if we have news.

DS has an offer from Oxford - over the moon! He needs 39 points with 6s for all HL subjects. That should (fingers crossed) be ok as he is predicted 45 with all 7s at HL.

Have managed to do exactly no work so far today to the extent that I'm thinking I should take it as a day's holiday!

@Shimy - the offer is for classics. Same as @ProggyMat's DD (although I think they've applied for different classics courses). "Proggy and Horace" sound like some sort of weird band.
