LNAT

My DS is applying to Uni for Law and one of the universities he has applied to requires him to sit the LNAT exam. None of his friends are sitting the exam and he has not received much help from his school. I think this is because it is not our local uni and the teachers are probably not as familiar with the exam. Could anyone give any help or advice please? He's had a look at the exam company website and apart from a couple of sample questions there isn't much help or guidance.

Hi @applesandpears33, DS sat the LNAT back in September. He only used what was on the LNAT website to prepare. I think there is practice test and samples of essay titles on there.
I assume your DS is aware that the test must be booked by 15th January and sat by 20th.
DS found the multi choice questions hard but the essay part was fine. Different uni's apparently put different emphasis on the two parts of the test. Have a look on Student Room, there's lots of advice on there including the average scores expected by different universities.
Good luck to you DS!

Thanks. We booked and paid for the test yesterday and he is sitting it on 10th Jan. He's just not sure what to expect. It is great to hear he doesn't have to do anything more than what is on the website as I was worried some kids may have been tutored to do well in it.

Some do spend a lot of money for books and online LNAT prep. I'm not sure it's something you can prepare for really. We obviously don't have the results yet though.
One other bit of advice - ear plugs! The centre will provide them as you can't take anything in.
